Building Description
Iron Works Lofts is an old and small industrial building that was originally constructed in the 1970s. Iron Works Lofts’ clean grey façade is donned with modern windows making the building seem newly constructed. The interior of the 15 lofts also reflects a newly renovated feeling. Units range from 850 to 1,600 square feet with ceiling heights over ten feet. All the units are designed to be bright and refreshing thanks to the open concept layout of the lofts. All units also feature massive windows, hardwood floors and exposed ducts. Some units even feature the original steel beams of the industrial building. Additionally, some of the bigger suites have private rooftop terraces. The grey colour of the exterior was chosen through project done by the residents, shedding light on the community feeling within Iron Works Lofts. This sense of community in a loft building is hard to find in other Toronto Loft. This feeling of community is also apparent in the whole neighbourhood. Iron Works Lofts is found in between Davenport and Dupont. The neighbourhood is vibrant and mixed with culture. With great food just a short walk south of the Iron Work Lofts. There is plenty of greenspace near by as well with a network of parks right beside the Iron Work Lofts. The location of the lofts makes getting around Toronto easy. The 401, and Gardiner are around a 15-minute drive away, which then connects drivers to the rest of the city. For non car goers there are buses that can take residents quickly to the Bloor subway line.
